Implementation of Axiomatic Language
نویسنده
چکیده
This report summarizes a PhD research effort to implement a type of logic programming language called “axiomatic language”. Axiomatic language is intended as a specification language, so its implementation involves the transformation of specifications to efficient algorithms. The language is described and the implementation task is discussed. 1998 ACM Subject Classification D.1.6 Logic Programming, I.2.2 Automatic Programming

Procedures and parameters: An axiomatic approach
It has been suggested, Hoare (1969), that an axiomatic approach to formal language definition might simultaneously contribute to the clarity and reliability of programs expressed in the language, and to the efficiency of their translation and execution on an electronic digital computer. This paper gives an exa~Lple of the application of the axiomatic method to the definition of procedure and pa...
متن کاملAbduction in Non-Axiomatic Logic
This paper introduces various inference rules (deduction, abduction, and induction) in NonAxiomatic Logic. These rules are represented in a term-oriented language, and justified according to a common semantic foundation. The implementation and application of these rules are briefly described. Finally, this approach is compared with the other approaches, specially with respect to abduction.
متن کاملOn the Interplay of Self-Esteem, Proficiency Level, and Language Learning Strategies Among Iranian L2 Learners
It is axiomatic that L2 teaching and learning is a process that requires dynamic involvement of L2 learners in the acquisition of knowledge and skills. L2 learners need to be assisted in setting individual learning goals. They should also be given the exposure to and guidance in effective language learning strategies (LLSs) in order to build a high level of confidence in the learning process. T...
متن کاملIranian English Language Teachers’ Perception of Task-based Language Teaching (TBLT) Principles and Challenges to its Implementation
This paper presents the findings of a study on Iranian English language teachers’ understanding of Task-based language teaching (TBLT) principles and perceived challenges of TBLT implementation in Iran. The data obtained from 100 respondents on a 39-item survey instrument and four essay questions analyzed through frequency statistics revealed that nearly 70 percent of teachers are cognizant ...
متن کاملAn Axiomatic Formalization of UML Models
Though it is widely recognized that object-oriented methodologies are most effective in developing large scale software, it is still difÞcult to apply high level computer support to it, as current methodologies are informal, especially at their upstream phases. This means that we cannot expect sophisticated supports for checking consistency among analysis models and validating/verifying their a...
